Sentinel Island Disco is well known in the diggers scene by the rare gems they unearth from around the globe and the many DJ edits they produce from them. Ranging from cheerful afro disco to hypnotizing percussive islander rhythms. Their latest discovery is a cassette from the Ivorian singer Hamed Farras, which will be re-released later this year on their own label, including a modern dancefloor interpretation of the original 1991 tape. As DJ's, they are not afraid to mix these obscurities with classic detroit and chicago influenced house and techno, resulting in dynamic, energetic and uplifting sets.
