Is it your first time visiting Vierdaagsefeesten? No worries, we’ve got you covered. Here is our advice with everything you need to know about the best seven days of the year!

1. Download the app

Our Vierdaagsefeesten app, which is also available in English, depending on the settings of your phone. Create your own time scedule and share it with your friends. On the map, you can also find a number of our foodtrucks. Or you can eat at one of the local restaurants, there is plenty of food on offer and you don’t have to make any reservations. On the map, you also find toilets, water taps, police, first aid and everything you need. When it’s overly crowded, we activate a crowd tracker. If you share your location, you can see it on the map and it helps you find a quieter spot. You can choose to receive push notifications so you won’t miss important updates.

2. Buy a wristband

It is not obligatory, but if you come and party for several days, it will come in handy to buy a wristband. It gives you free access to all toilet facilities for the full 7 days, and every day a different, exclusive event to join.

3. Return your cup to the bar

You don’t need to buy tokens anywhere, you pay with your bank card at the bar. Not every bar accepts cash. When you buy your first drink, you pay a one-time contribution of €0.50 as an environmental contribution for the cup. For each subsequent order, you only pay the consumption price when returning your used cup. The same cups will be used throughout the city, recognizable by the Vierdaagsefeesten logo in the border. You can exchange your cup for a new one at an outdoor bar or terrace. We ask you to bring your last cup to the bar as well, so we can recycle them to new ones. So please do and help to reach our sustainability goals! Cups cannot be exchanged for money.

4. Don’t bring your own booze

A huge festival with over 1000 acts, and all of that for free! That has to be payed for somehow. And it is, by you — buying your drinks at the bar. On average, you pay 20 cents extra for your drink, compared to a regular night out. If you buy 5 drinks per night, it means that you have all these performances for just one euro! It is forbidden to bring your own food and drinks. Security and staff at the stages have the right to search you and obtain your bring-your-owns. That’s how we hope to keep organising this free festival for a long, long time!

5. Visit the city on time

It is easiest to reach us on foot or by bicycle. Places to park your bike, you find on the map. The first stages start hosting shows at noon. One third of the stages host performances in the afternoon, not just for kids! On Saturday at 4 p.m., we host an opening event, on 22 stages at the same time. Hope to see you there!

6. Get an entrance ticket for special shows

All shows on the outside stages of Vierdaagsefeesten are for free. Just for the few stages indoors, you need a ticket, like Stevenskerk Live, where you can also go abseiling. The city tours are free to join, but if you want to secure your spot, make a reservation.

Have a wonderful week!
