Just like in previous years, we are looking for volunteers for Festival op ‘t Eiland. Tasks include organizing children’s activities, operating the information desk and supporting the communication’s team.

As a volunteer working on Festival op ‘t Eiland you will become a vital part of a professional, close-knit and above all passionate team. You get a unique look behind the scenes, as you will experience the festival from up close. You will furthermore become the proud owner of an Eiland T-shirt and be compensated with a volunteering reimbursement.

Want to see the Vierdaagsefeesten up close while making some extra money? That is possible! Every year we are looking for enthusiastic cashiers to for instance sell coins and operate cash registers at locations like Matrixx at the Park.

The job of cashier carries a lot of responsibility: after all, you are both a representative and an ambassador of the Vierdaagsefeesten while holding this position. This is why we expect our cashiers to work hard and take responsibility for their work. In return for your hard work, we provide you with some great colleagues, free live music and just a great time in general.

‘Work hard, play hard’ is a well-known phrase that we whole-heartedly agree with. Working at festivals and events is a great experience; however, it is not just about having a good time. As a cashier or hospitality associate, you are an ambassador for our event. Next to your own festival experience, you are also responsible for a lot of different visitors. Hours can be long and work can be tough. We therefore expect you to have a solid work ethic and to take full responsibility for your work as well. The Vierdaagsefeesten is a week-long event with many different acts, as the inner city of Nijmegen is transformed into one big festival.

During the event, the city center is closed off to all traffic, which majorly affects the accessibility of Nijmegen. This is exactly why we need traffic wardens!

It is your job to guard roadblocks and to make sure only authorized vehicles make it past the enclosures, as you redirect other traffic to their destinations.
