No Excuses

NO EXCUSE is a 4-piece cover band from Barendrecht, founded in October 2015 by Ed Straatman (vocals) & Bob Straatman (lead guitar). After saying goodbye to some 'lesser' predecessors, they chose after a strict selection to let Stephan den Ouden be the solid bassist of NO EXCUSE and 'last but not least'; Lex Schouten the awesome drummer!

Unlike many other cover bands, NO EXCUSE has always kept the goal in mind not to play the now exhausted covers, but also to introduce the audience to the slightly lesser-known diamonds of our music heroes. Of course they also play well-known covers, finished with a delicious NO EXCUSE sauce, in a bed of Rock!

Covers by Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King and Gary Moore make the public suspect that reincarnation exists! But songs by the (still) living John Mayer, Robben Ford, The Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Oasis and many more are also performed during performances.

NO EXCUSE is not only popular with the unique & surprising choice of covers, but also because of the interaction with the audience during performances.

Funny detail is that the singer and the lead guitarist are father and son. So it may be clear that the blues & rock was poured into it from the very beginning!

In short; NO EXCUSE to refuse at your party, festival, opening or .... cremation!
