Daniël Tomàs

Daniël Tomàs, piano hero in socks, is his work: dreaming. His work makes you forget everything soon, then and now, for a while. And while the listener wanders freely in his music, Tomàs strings his pieces together in a different way each time – so that every audience experiences a different journey.
His music also invites the listener to introspection, his first albums (Pintures I & II) were an investigation into the power of imagination. Both albums were streamed millions of times. Now, however, a completely different theme is central: Urban Amnesia. These are compositions about forgotten feelings and emotions that underlie the urbanization of society. Also called the Shifting Baseline Syndrome.
Together we will search for stillness. To pigeonhole Tomàs? Think of neo-classical music in which elements of both electronics and classical piano, and invariably parts of improvisation are brought together. Chopin meets Kind of Blue.
