Alberta Balsam (live)

It's not often that you read 'electro' and 'concept album' in one sentence. With 'Higher Dreams' the Rotterdam Alberta Balsam was inspired by sci-fi author Ursula K. Le Guin. The record sounds urgent and at times dark. The work therefore symbolizes the dangers that humanity faces due to, among other things, climate warming.

Yet Balsam also leaves room for hope, and that's not just because of how 'Higher Dreams' evolves. After all, the music itself is irresistible, as befits good old skool electro and acid. At Valkhof Festival she brings 'Higher Dreams' live to life.
