When you first hear the Asian-sounding instrumental dance floor funk of YĪN YĪN, you think you are dealing with a hip company from Bangkok, but it is really a Dutch band with their headquarters in Oud-Rekem (Limburg).

Their debut album by YĪN YĪN 'The Rabbit That Hunts Tigers' (2019) mainly features Thai psychedelic funk, which could count on positive comments in music media and the public.

The corona time was used by YĪN YĪN to write new material and the result is their second album The Age Of Aquarius (2022). At the beginning of this year they released their third album Mount Matsu. The album is inspired by the cosmos and especially by Japan's musical heritage.

With a variety of atmospheres and styles, this is an ode to Japan that resonates in harmonious, dissonant, energetic atmospheres, tempos and musical styles. From psychedelic disco sounds, big fat Japanese funk, electronica to tribal sounds. A dream successor to the other albums and once again confirmation that YĪN YĪN continues to develop in their own unique way on their musical adventure around the world.
