The Super Soakers

Last year they made the Poort stage burst at the seams, now they're already on Boog. Can also be difficult, after a productive year that they ended with the release of 'The Shepherd & The Scapegoat'.

Normally The Super Soakers are characterized by a jumble of staccato riffs sung together by committed lyrics, but their new EP goes off the rails and develops like a slow-motion accident. It has become a colorful collection of urgent songs: about rotting secrets, religious erosion and an angry middle class. The Super Soakers try to make sense of the absurdity of existence, only to break it down again during live shows where the chaos is celebrated.
