Simplify

Simplify is formed by Edine (vocals) and Janneke (guitar and vocals). Both live in Utrecht, but grew up in the Achterhoek and have been friends since primary school. Making and writing music together is something that gives them a lot of energy. And they prefer to share this with others. Their music sounds atmospheric, with lots of warm two-part harmony and a rhythmic guitar. During the Koppelsession they will alternate self-written songs with covers by artists such as Lianne La Havas and Rhye, to which they have given their own twist. The own work consists of narrative Dutch listening songs about personal themes. A live performance by Simplify is like being read to with music.
