Samantha Steenwijk

Samantha Steenwijk is an artist of Dutch origin, a singer. Because of her spontaneous, open personality and great voice, Samantha is very popular with people and she knows how to take large and small halls to euphoric heights.

In 2009 Samantha makes a flying entrance with 'Come join me'. Thanks to this cheerful, catchy song, she became talent of the month on the theme channel TROS Sterren.nl and she can perform as support act for Gerard Joling in Spaarnwoude. Other major events such as the Mega Pirate Festijn in the GelreDome, Go Apres Ski in Ahoy will follow. In 2013, Samantha reached the final of the SBS6 program Blood Sweat & Tears. Supported by team captains Gerard Joling and Roxanne Hazes, Samantha managed to take third place. Her Blood Sweat and Tears single 'Zonder you' reached the 11th position in the charts.

A few months later, Samantha receives a BUMA NL nomination for best talent and best singer and is mentioned in the same breath as Glennis Grace. In 2014 Samantha puts together a new musical team (Vincent Claase & Hans van Vondelen) and she is very successful with her new single “Hou Toch van mij”. In the same year, she is nominated for the second time in a row by BUMANL in the category of Best Female Singer. With her single 'Lieveling, Wat Hou Ik Van Jou', Samantha can be found in the Dutch charts for 20 weeks, achieved a number 1 position and the song became one of the best played songs on radio and TV of that year. The cheerful single 'Cheers to life' is also very successful, a new 'sound' has been created.

At the beginning of 2017, the team will be complete with the arrival of a new booking office and management, called Entertainment-NL. On 26 and 27 May 2017, a long-cherished wish will come true, Samantha will perform twice in a sold-out Johan Cruijf Arena at Toppers in Concert. Steenwijk also participates in the eighth season of the RTL 4 program The Voice of Holland this year. During the 'Blind Auditions' all the coaches turn around for her and she chooses Anouk. At the 'Battles' she loses weight but is stolen by her new coach Miss Montreal. Steenwijk's audition song 'I live my own life' reached the number 1 position in the Dutch iTunes chart two days after the broadcast. In the end, Steenwijk makes it to the final in which she finishes second.

After reaching the final it goes fast, Samantha can perform as a guest artist during Holland Zingt Hazes in the ZiggoDome, participates in many TV programs and can regularly be found on the stage of, for example, Muziekfeest op het Plein. And just like in 2016, Steenwijk managed to win the Koos Alberts Award in the category 'Most Popular Singer' in 2018.

At the end of September 2018 it is finally time for new music. A writers camp is being organized with a number of lyricists and artists from the profession and they are working hard on a new album for three days. Her first single after The Voice of Holland will be 'Mama', the single will be released at the beginning of December and within a day she reached the number 2 position in the iTunes chart. Samantha is blown away by this success and is eager to bring even more new music to the general public.

The next single is a duet with René Froger, the single 'Love Forever' will be released in March 2019. The song will also be played live during Froger's show in Carré. Furthermore, many major performances are planned in 2019, starting with Holland Zingt Hazes again in the Ziggo Dome.
