Moonglow

Moonglow is all about jazz, groove and dance. Authentic jazz sounds mix effortlessly with modern beats and samples. Think of Caro Emerald and Gare Du Nord. Loungy or uptempo, but always danceable. Just some comments from the media: “A voice that has escaped from the 1930s” and “the pleasure radiates from it.” From young to old, everyone falls for these sexy and unique sounds.
Moonglow has already played at jazz festivals throughout the Netherlands: from Rotterdam to Breda, from Amstelveen to Zutphen and Maastricht. A large audience is attracted to Moonglow's timeless music.
Sound of Moonglow
In addition to the vocals, the compositions form the beating heart of Moonglow. The band generously sprinkles quotes from jazz and pop history. Sometimes subtle and only traceable by experts, other times immediately recognizable in the form of creative mash-ups. From Nina to Donna, from Duke Ellington to Kosheen.
Experienced musicians
The musicians have a good dose of experience. Guitarist Jos van de Gruiter and singer Marianne van den Bergh got the main hall of Paradiso dancing. Drummer Jeroen Oosterbos 'did' the Heren van Amstel. Saxophonist Marciano Moretti played with his big band at major festivals.
De Volkskrant: The musicians of this Dutch band together create a great sound: modern songs with a touch of old jazz.
Bram Schouten, programmer Meerjazz: “This band played the stars of heaven.”
