Mike & the Mellotones
Mike & the Mellotones have been around since 1993. During the first 10 years of their existence, they managed to rise to the top of the Dutch blues scene with their Texan blues style, but they also gained a lot of respect internationally. Guest musicians on their albums included Monster Mike Welch, Jumping Johnny Sansone, Geoff Achison, Mike Morgan, Gary Primich and Enrico Crivellaro.

In 2015 they returned to their blues roots in varying formations under their original name. Then it became quiet for a long time around Mike and his Mellotones.
Mike has collected this special composition especially for De Kaaij. The group consists of 'old and new'. Mike (57) and Walter (50) were
late bloomers. Mike didn't start playing guitar until the age of 18, and Walter picked up the bass at the age of 19 after seeing a performance by Mike & the Mellotones. Nathan (23) has been playing guitar since he was 12 and Bas (21) has been playing drums since he was 5. Give them a warm welcome home at De Kaaij on Wednesday, July 17 from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM!
