The Jong JOC consists of a large group of enthusiastic and talented young Soul, Funk and Jazz musicians from 12 to 18 years old. Every year a completely new Young JOC is put together from the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The kick-off took place during a Bootcamp during the Easter weekend, where the young people made music together for a weekend and worked towards the final presentation at the Big Band Festival in Goor. Since then, this club has been able to call itself the Jong JOC for a year and they play in various places in the country, tonight at the Kaaij.
