JOHNNY preview (12+)

In JOHNNY (12+) the boys of 155 (one-five-five) stretch their physical limits to the max. Exhausting scenes with falling, jumping, suffering pain or sliding down the banister with legs in their neck (but at the same time in the splits). When does a body become humorous?

In addition to all the tricks, stunts and fun, the tragic aspects of physical comedians are also examined: the pain, the victimhood, the endless training and the fear. Is it physical tragedy? Do you have to do tricks like Buster Keaton's falling house to move an audience? Give away a cracking solo like Donald O'Connor in Singing in the Rain? Or can physicality also be subtle? Can nothing happen for a while? Were the guys from Jackass a worthy successor to Buster Keaton? The performance is currently being made at Werkplaats Walhalla and is inspired by all these boundary pushers, but also by contemporaries of dance collective 155 such as Jiemba Sands, Nathan Barnatt and countless anonymous stuntmen who continue to push (physical) boundaries in Hollywood.
