Goldkimono
Goldkimono guarantees a cheerful summer evening on Stadseiland Stek. With the combination of sunny pop, reggae and 90's hip hop you imagine yourself in a tropical destination, but this time in Nijmegen.
Behind the stage name Goldkimono is the Dutch producer & singer-songwriter Martijn Konijnenburg. Before he became Goldkimono, he scored the hit Wonderwoman with the band Leaf in 2007, and he also wrote for Anouk, Diggy Dex and VanVelzen. But also together with Kygo, with whom he achieved millions of streams in 2014 with the song Firestone.
His own debut album The Legend Of The Goldkimono, including Electric Swing, was released in 2022 and was critically acclaimed. On the second album Something Out Of Nothing, Goldkimono builds on the languid hip-hop beats and light tunes of his first debut album. With Hello and especially Money In My Head he shows how well he can write catchy pop songs. The songs Bounce and Lost Inside My Head are perfect for an evening of dancing by the water.
