Birmingham boys from Nijmegen? Foxlane shows that it is possible. A DIY unit with something always bubbling beneath the surface. Tight and balanced, but always ready to attack. It is not surprising that they scored a streaming hit with their tribute to the Netflix series Peaky Blinders. The dirty attitude full of unpredictable explosiveness is continued on their debut album (released in 2024), which is produced by Remko Schouten (Pavement, Canshaker Pi). It has that sultry vibe of New York around the turn of the seventies into the eighties, when bands like Talking Heads walked straight out of art schools into the clubs. Foxlane also seems to have been born into a breeding nest of talent by the arty spirit of the times. In any case, they are just as stubborn, so prepare yourself.
