De Witte Kunst

Multi-instrumentalist Lyckle de Jong and writer/singer Koen van Bommel form the peculiar, humorous and secretly irresistible De Witte Kunst. Their songs are about dreaming of a better planet, the fear of being touched and how you can actually create a place for yourself in this chaotic world. And at the same time, everything is skillfully put into perspective, with support from De Jong's cheap synth, from which he manages to get a lot out of it.

The result is a kind of manifesto that raises questions rather than answers them, and the listener may well be thrown into a state of confusion. Certainly with a smile on his face.
