Bente

After the success of her debut album Als Ik Met De Wind Kon Dansen, Bente is back with a brand new album: drift . With drift, Bente takes you on a nostalgic journey to the carefree years of her youth. She explores themes such as love, the fear of loss and the uncertainty about how others see her. Bente says about drift : “This album feels like pure energy and longing – a kind of nostalgia for the time when everything was still possible. It is a collection of all my emotions; a snapshot that I hope to think back on later: this is how I felt then. drift reminds me to let myself be carried away by what life brings.”

Over the past year and a half, Bente has been working hard on her own unique sound, together with producers Lennard Vink, Freez and Wannes Salomé. The result? An honest and raw album, partly recorded in the Ardennes and partly in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. drift contains twelve new songs, including Wie is Zij with Roxeanne Hazes, weten ze mij , zonder handenrijden and ik heb je zo gemist , with contributions from Mathieu Terryn from Bazart, among others.

Bente was in the spotlight at a young age. At the age of eleven, she discovered her passion for music and soon shone in programs such as The Voice Kids and De Wereld Draait Door . The documentary Bente's Stem captured her musical journey, and her breakthrough came with the hit Liefste, Ken Je Mij . With subsequent EPs, she consolidated her place in the Dutch music scene. A milestone was the release of her debut album Als Ik Met De Wind Kon Dansen on November 11, 2022, a date that symbolizes her fascination with the number 11. This album showed a mature side of Bente, with collaborations with Typhoon, Tim Knol and Meau. Later she worked with Maan and Ronnie Flex and impressed with her rendition of Zeg Maar Niets Meer in the program Hazes Is De Basis .

With her new album drift , Bente toured the Netherlands and Belgium last fall, offering a stage to emerging talent on TikTok. Now, in 2025, the future looks promising, with even more exciting plans on the horizon.
