Babs has already turned a lot of festivals upside down with her colorful, danceable hip hop with a message about gender and sexual equality. In 2022 she played on a packed Malieveld during the Liberation Festival The Hague and made her Mainstage debut during Rotterdam Pride, after Duncan Laurence, for 15,000+ people. She was also seen at Dauwpop, Liberation Festival Zwolle, on Dam Square (Mainstage Pride Amsterdam), Tweetakt, several times in the Melkweg, the Final Party of the Popronde and ADE. 2023 kicked off at ESNS!

Her first release came out during the pandemic, in 2021, but the artist wasted no time. In a short time she released 9 singles and 2 EPs. She also scored her first sync in the international, award-winning hip-hop series Atlanta (by Donald Glover) and she has been nominated for the Popprijs Overijssel. As a 3voor12 talent of the Popronde (2022), she became one of the most booked artists. In the meantime, she is already busy with her next project and has writing sessions with Willie Wartaal, Linde Schöne and Shary-An, among others.

As a female producer and rapper, she tries to playfully counteract a male-dominated scene. Her music is a combination of fast, dominant dance drums, melodic rap and unpredictable, funky, rhythmic chords with a cheerful pop flavor, where the story is key. Her goal is to use this music to add color to the black and white thinking of society. Babs brings danceable depth to Stadseiland Stek, you definitely want to be there!
