Yellofox (Presented by HKconcerten)

Yellofox plays modern Americana. Think of 'on the road through America with a trunk full of ideals and dreams' and you've got the Yellofox feeling. Singer/guitarist Marc Mosmans and singer/cellist Jorieke de Vet are the artistic heart of the six-piece band.

Live, Yellofox is an experience: a performance full of stories, groovy, intense and full of energy. Melodies and harmonies that are reminiscent of the great American folk rock bands from the seventies. The special composition of cello, violin, mandolin, double bass, drums and many guitars, are supplemented by samples with fragments of text and obscure organs.

The music is influenced by songwriters from the sixties and seventies, such as Paul Simon, Gram Parsons, Jackson Browne and Nick Drake, but also contemporary artists such as Bonnie Prince Billy, Eels, The Barr Brothers and Fleet Foxes are a source of inspiration. The message of Yellofox is clear: 'For the Dreamers' is not just the title of their album.

An album full of songs about recognizable themes: doubts, happiness, desire, dreams and ambitions. "An ode to melancholic dreamers, naive idealists and loving bon vivants" was how the press described the second album. And the duo goes further than just spreading the message through music, because Yellofox is multidisciplinary. Marc and Jorieke, both with an art academy background, make documentaries, video clips, designs and illustrate all the special artwork in addition to the music and lyrics. 'For The Dreamers' (2023) is the successor to the debut album 'Tomorrow Will Be Gone, It's Sad To Know, But This Is Today'. (2020).

After an intensive tour, they are now working on their third album together with producer Martijn Groeneveld (Blaudzun, Tangarine, etc.), the first singles of which will be released in the spring of 2025.
