Vengaboys

The Vengaboys (pronounced Bengaboys) are a Dutch group created by Wessel van Diepen and Dennis van den Driesschen. Initially, the story goes that the four group members come from all sorts of different countries and that is maintained for a long time, but after the first hits, the Vengaboys turn out to be really just Dutch.

The first cautious successes are booked with Parada De Tettas (1997) and To Brazil (1998). The real breakthrough follows with Up And Down, followed by We Like To Party and the number 1 hits Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom and We're Going To Ibiza. With their simple and catchy music they also conquered the foreign countries.

In 2000, the party was over and a farewell single was released, the ballad Forever As One. In 2010, the group made a comeback with the song Rocket To Uranus, and in 2013, the single Hot Hot Hot was released. Three of the four group members were also part of the original line-up: Kim Sasabone, Denise Post and Robin Pors. Roy den Burger was replaced by Donny Latupeirissa.

In 2014, the Vengaboys also added a track to the pile of songs released around the World Cup in Brazil with 2 Brazil!.
