Marathon

Marathon is top sport. The surplus of energy that the threesome from Amsterdam bottled up during the week finds its way from the stage to the audience. It blows out and that is picked up: their live reputation is growing like a weed. Already four times Paradiso, a mud-packed Popronde, Welcome to the Village, Grauzone and much more: in a short time interspersed with stage experience, they played their way to a top-10 ranking at Noorderslag. Both KINK and 3voor12 see the band as one of the talents of 2023.

Meanwhile Marathon rages on: V2 Benelux signed for their debut EP. The driven twenty-somethings exorcise the reality of the still young twenty-first century, hopping from crisis to crisis. It is a highly energetic defense against a threatening mood of doom. Their explosive mix of shoegaze and post-punk is getting richer by the day, especially live. The time is therefore more than ripe for a triumphal procession in the Valkhof Park!
