Joël Domingos

Joël Domingos is a rapper, singer and songwriter-producer. He makes Dutch-language pop music from his hip-hop, R&B and soul roots. He grew up in a large multicultural family. With his mother he dissected lyrics by songwriters such as Billy Joel and Simon & Garfunkel. His father introduced him to joyful Cape Verdean dance parties, and African artists like Cesaria Evora. Together with his characteristic voice, Joël combines these influences into a unique sound and thus bridges the gap between worlds.
