Dennie Christian

Dennie Christian has an amazing talent. He playfully manages to convey his positive attitude to life, his pleasure in dealing with people and his love for German-language music to the audience. With his sympathetic appearance he always creates a great celebration of recognition!

Dennie was attracted to music since his youth and was in the band The Dumpy Gnoms as a young boy. The originally German was 15 when he met Karin Hartmann, who was looking for a photo model for a brochure. Karin's fiancée, Tony Hendrik, was a producer and had Dennie take a voice test in 1973. That's how the ball started rolling and he broke through in 1975 with the mega hit Rosamunde. More than 500,000 records were sold!

This was followed by many other hits such as Besame Mucho, Twee Vrienden, Jij Drinkt Teveel and Uit Elkaar. The latter song is originally by rapper Yes-R, but Dennie gave it his own twist during the Ali B Op Volle Toeren program. It became a huge success in the charts. In addition to his passion for music, Dennie has presented various TV programs and is a regular guest on German, Belgian and Dutch programs.

In 2017 he took part in the TV program De Beste Zangers Van Nederland, where he performed various songs by other singers. This was a success because Dennie was once again in the spotlight! His album 40 years of Dennie Christian – I'm going to rock my cradle was a hit with the public. Not only because of the impressive duets with Django Wagner, Wolter Kroes and Mieke, but also because of the beautiful solo numbers.
